Amazon reduced my Sales Figures to almost Zero

Complaint to Amazon – Loss of Sales to almost Zero

Poor service received from Amazon over the past six to eight months.

It would appear that each and every month Amazon change something on the product page for my book ‘Sailing Solo Alone’. And each and every change results in loss of sales for my E-book.

The changes involve: Removing good review; Removing Like Ticks; Leaving Poor (slanderous/Advertising) Reviews; Selling Paper back and promptly labelling it ‘Unavailable’; Removing the book from sale due to Formatting problems; Reducing the number of pages from 184 to 74 (estimated); Lending Not Allowed; Allowing the Paperback version to be displayed before the E-book version. And these are only the things I know about…

Estimated loss of book sale = 2920 (pa)

Estimated loss of earnings to Author   = £3850 (pa)

Estimated loss of earnings to Amazon = £2050 (pa)

The whole thing is a complete and utter disgrace and made worse as there is no course of redress for these detrimental actions taken by Amazon.

 

3000 Books Sold - Mid August

By about Mid August I have sold over 3000 copies of my book Sailing Solo Alone, which is ok.
I have been a bit busy over the past few months, so the old blog has been neglected a wee bitty.
That is the trouble when doing a full time job, the real things in life tend to be, well, neglected.
3000 sold, just a shame it wasn't 30,000, then maybe I could concentrate on the real things in life.

2500 - 18th June 2012

Just got back from a little holiday and found I have achieved the heady sales figures of 2500, which is all very nice. Unfortunately, I can’t quite retire on these numbers as yet, which is a bit of a shame as the long, dark, scrawny finger of work is beckoning to me...

2400 on 7th June 2012

We're creeping up there, and selling a few book while I'm doing it...
Don't know about creeping, sounds a bit creepy to me.
Nevermind, soon be at the 400 hundredth of a million mark...

2250 on 21st May & Happy Birthday to Me.

21 again and on this day 21st May 2012, I have sold the grand total of 2250 books.
'Suppose I should say something clever now... Ok, here we go...
No one likes green smarties...

Not exactly flying out the door, more of a lolloping stumble.

Still got a brand new web site –underconstruction. Sounds like it’s being built by Wimpey. The length of time it’s taking, it might as well be.
